Deutsche Bundesbank and Humboldt University of Berlin invite you to submit a paper to the “Conference on Markets and Intermediaries.” The conference will take place on October 1- 2, 2024 in Frankfurt.

To counter the dislocations in the financial system due to the Great Financial Crisis and the Covid-pandemic, central banks have vastly expanded their balance sheets, injected additional liquidity into financial markets and intermediaries, and broadened their collateral frameworks. These measures have affected the transmission of monetary policy as well as the functioning of money markets and capital markets and provide challenges for the design of monetary and financial policies going forward.

PAPER SUBMISSIONS: The conference seeks to attract high quality empirical and theoretical research contributions on challenges for financial markets, financial intermediaries, and central banks.

Papers can be submitted via the conference website: https://www.conftool.pro/marketsandintermediaries2024/index.php?page=login

The deadline for submissions is April 14, 2024. Authors of accepted papers will be notified in May. A discussant will be assigned to each paper.

Travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed for academic participants (presenter/ discussant), subject to a cap.
