The Institut Louis Bachelier invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship for recent graduates with a PhD in finance or economics with research interests in AI, Blockchain, cryptocurrency, digital platforms and fintechs.

The postdoc will be affiliated to the FaIR program (https://fair.institutlouisbachelier.org/), closely working with FaIR’s and ILB’s team, in particular Marie Brière and Louis Bertucci. He or she will be involved in expanding FaIR program seminars but most importantly will be involved in the creation of new indicators on the use of digital technologies, that will help researchers, supervisors and the industry to monitor important trends in the development of new technologies and their impact on the finance and insurance sector. The work conducted during this postdoc is expected to have an important impact on the industry.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- PhD in Finance or Economics
- Strong experience in empirical research and data analysis
- Strong interest in at least one of the following: AI, Blockchain, DeFi, Fintechs, Digital Platforms, Technology Regulation
- Knowledge of data collection techniques is a plus (web-scraping, API use)
- Knowledge of AI tools is a plus (NLP, Large Language Models-LLM, etc.)

Applicants should not have previously been employed in France after their PhD graduation (at least not more than 6 months in CDI contract) and the Institut Louis Bachelier offers competitive full-time contracts in CDI (Contrat à Durée Indéterminée). The position can start ASAP but after PhD graduation. Office space can be provided at Palais Brongniart in Paris city-center.
