PROJECT DETAILS: Both basic and applied research on the topics of entrepreneurship, startups, accelerators and venture capital. The research includes both a critical review of the literature and new research work carried out also in collaboration with other project members; leadership in the coordination activities of WP3 and WP4 related to Spoke 3 of the MUSA project.

RESEARCH PROJECT: MUSA (Multilayered Urban Sustainable Action) is an ambitious project with the aim of making the Metropolitan Area of Milan (AMM) an ecosystem of innovation for urban regeneration that includes all levels of intervention, from social to technological, capable of expand regionally and nationally and become a European model. This objective will be pursued by undertaking a series of activities that address the various dimensions of an innovation system. Spoke 3 will contribute to the entire Ecosystem by bridging the gap between academic research and business models, opening it up to external R&I initiatives to ensure impact. To do this, researchers and start-ups need strong support to move from the idea and minimum viable product (MVP) stage to growth and market success in a short time. They therefore need effective services such as incubators, accelerators, venture builders. The best strategies will be studied to support researchers and start-ups in this path (for example, with legal clinics, start-up Funding Labs, design of pre-acceleration activities, etc.)

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: To achieve the aims of the project, various research related activities and skills are required, including: - Advanced knowledge of statistics and econometrics (causal inference methods), and of software such as Python, Stata, etc. - Experience in database management - Experience in research, preferably in project topics - Excellent level of written and spoken English.
