The Accounting and Finance Department at Washington and Lee University invites applications for at least one tenure-track position in Accounting at the rank of assistant or associate professor (without tenure). The area of research specialty is open. We are particularly interested in candidates with teaching interests in financial accounting. The appointment begins July 1, 2024. Candidates will be expected to teach introductory accounting and one upper-level course.

The teaching load is 5 courses per year (4 in the first year), and class sizes are purposefully small. Faculty are also expected to have an active research program. To support faculty research agendas, the university has a summer research grant program, a generous five-year sabbatical cycle as well as a pre-tenure research leave program.
