Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor (several posts) in Economics in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 523482), to commence on July 1, 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. The appointment will be made on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract. Exceptionally outstanding candidates at Professor/Associate Professor level may be considered for appointment on tenure terms.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should possess or be close to completing a Ph.D. degree with outstanding research promise. All fields of Economics will be considered. The appointees should be able to teach undergraduate and/or graduate degree programmes, and are expected to commit to high-quality scholarly research and services. Applicants for appointment as Professor should have a proven record of high-quality scholarship and teaching, and should be able to conduct an ongoing active research agenda, attract competitive grants, and provide leadership and services within both the Faculty and the University. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
