The Area of Finance in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track, Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance to begin September 1, 2024.

2. Active research program targeting publication in top journals in Finance (and related fields)
3. Commitment to excellence in teaching

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
In addition to the required qualifications, individuals with the following preferred qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply:
1. In addition to research programs in asset pricing, corporate finance, and market microstructure, we are interested in applicants whose research streams intersect with Fintech, fixed income and banking, real estate, and risk management.
2. Demonstrated willingness to participate in service activities (depending upon experience).

ABOUT THE COLLEGE: The Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration is AACSB accredited and houses the School of Accounting that holds separate AACSB accreditation. The college offers the BBA degree with majors in accounting, energy commerce, finance, information technology, management, marketing, and supply chain management. Several formats of the MBA program are offered in fulltime, weekend, and online modalities in Lubbock, the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Houston, and San Antonio. The College offers MS degrees in accounting, data science, finance, and marketing research and analytics. A Ph.D. in business administration is offered with tracks in accounting, finance, management, management information systems, and marketing. With a faculty of over 140 and a staff that exceeds 80, the college enrolls over 5,000 undergraduate and 800 graduate students.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT/SCHOOL/AREA: The Area of Finance is one of six academic units, catering to over 1,400 undergraduate majors. It houses the Excellence in Banking program, which offers a certificate in Commercial Banking, as well as the Texas Tech Real Estate Center and Real Estate program, which offers a certificate in Commercial Real Estate. With 22 full-time and emeritus faculty members, the department is deeply committed to teaching excellence and producing top-tier academic research in a collaborative atmosphere.
