The Institute for Accounting of the University of Bern, Managerial Accounting section (Prof. Dr. Markus C. Arnold), is seeking to fill a postdoctoral position.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates need to have a doctoral degree (or be close to completion) in business administration, economics or a related subject with good or very good grades.

You also have an interest in research in the field of managerial accounting. We expect you to have very good knowledge of managerial accounting and agency theory or psychological theories. Knowledge of experimental research methods or survey research is desirable. We also expect a promising research plan and a commitment to high quality research. You should be fluent in English.

The salary will be determined according to the applicant's qualifications in accordance with the regulations of the University of Bern and is highly competitive. The starting date is planned to be at the beginning of the academic year 2025/26 with some flexibility to consider individual circumstances.
