The Department of Accounting in the McCoy College of Business at Texas State invites applications for an Assistant Professor. The position requires the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses, conduct research leading to high-quality peer-reviewed publications, and provide service to students, the department, the profession, and the university.
This position is subject to the availability of funds.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ph.D. or D.B.A. with a major or specialization in accounting from a school with AACSB accreditation.
- The successful candidate must meet the requirements to be Scholarly Academic (SA) under AACSB and Texas Standards (https://www.mccoy.txst.edu/faculty-staff/faculty-resources/policies-procedures/college/cbapps-5-07.html).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified Public Accountant certification and/or significant work experience in at least one teaching area.
- Evidence of research potential with the ability to publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
- Indication that candidate can effectively teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses.
