JOB DESCRIPTION: The lecturer will teach 3 courses per semester at the discretion of the department chair and perform services as necessary including:
Organizing the Junior Accounting Orientation.
Directing the EY Leads program..
Attending department meetings and serving on selected School committees.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instruction and preparation. Will teach a 3-3 teaching load.
Other services and duties such as JAO and EY Leads
FUNCTIONAL AND SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Chair, Dept of Accounting and Law
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of different subjects of Accounting in order to teach them, including intermediate and advanced financial accounting, managerial accounting, auditing, accounting information systems, government and not-for-profit accounting, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree or doctorate degree (e.g. DBA) in Accounting or related field from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience teaching different courses in Accounting
Potential to teach in the three graduate programs
A PhD in Accounting or a related field (e.g. Analytics, MIS, Informatics or Economics) from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization
CPA - Current NYS CPA or equivalent
Evidence of institutional service
